Rick Owens Men’s Fall Winter 2015

Palais de Tokyo
Rick Owens candidly let it all hang loose for his Sphinx Fall Winter 2015 men’s show, for the sake of freedom. He wanted guys to lost their habitual control, and just let it go. The choice of making models walk without any underwear, and making it visible, has to be seen with the same provocative point of view: the designer literally loves to shock his audience with what he creates. The collection itself was a real speculation on the modesty of uniforms and traditional menswear outwear, as well as on the perversion of men’s dresses: deconstructed tunics and capes with flowing fringed sides, supposed to be worn upside down, and nautical jackets and coats in experimental materials and cut.
