Marcelo Burlon County of Milan Men’s Fall Winter 2015
Monday, 19th January 2015
Marcelo Burlon, with his first County of Milan’s show during Milan Fashion Week, literally transported his beloved Patagonia to something that is beyond design and fashion: ‘there is something more’, as he claimed on his Facebook profile. The show started with a performance of Malambo dancers with boleadoras, and this hispanic feeling went on with the soundtrack. The collection was a mixture of gaucho references and street wear classics, re-seen in a spacial and digital key: patchwork of prints and visual elements, as it is in County of Milan’s signature since the beginnings, and ponchos, gauchos and bombacha pants made bolder with the applique of multi-pockets belts and safety protections. A proper space gaucho, as the slogan claimed on the back of tees. Marcelo Burlon wanted to take his primal roots into this modern present and making them appropriate to today’s context.
