Neil Barrett’s love for precision and cleanness is not something unheard before; anyway, for his men’s Spring/Summer 2015 show (and collection) it’s has been exactly what he aimed at: ‘very pure’, ‘very concise’, ‘all white, all denim, camo and black, just black'; he claimed during the interview we had after the show. This sort of uniformity and rigidity is something really appreciable for today’s fashion. Speaking about Neil Barrett SS15, he imagined this kind of traveller, an easy-going guy that can just wear his pieces anytime, as practical and comfortable items the designer has worked on to give a shaped but weightless appeal. Again from the idea of traveling around, while researching in Rome and Delos’ museums, Neil Barrett took the inspirations for the artistic references shown through the collection: he took classicism and made it relevant for today, in a way he defined ‘bizarre but cool’.
