The project is about art to wear. Clothes inspired by contemporary artist’s work, interpreted by the designer Angelos Frentzos. Each time a collaboration with a different artist will take place: a fashion/art work in progress.
This time the Greek designer met up with Lisa Ruyter, an american artist living between Vienna and Washington DC.
Ruyter’s work is a commentary on painting and photography as diverse media. Her artistic process begins from pictures of everyday life. Images are then translated by line drawing onto a surface, and the delineated sections are filled with full colors. The result is a strong combination between modern technology and traditional media. This way of work, forms a map of her movements as well as her personal development. The works are immediately recognizable by their strengths in colors and shapes. Ruyter often works in series to complement or push the possibilities of an image within this framework.
Images of Project Frentzos 5 have been created by Bill Georgoussis.
