Modern Lord Byrons, poetic dreamers lost in their own thoughts; that was Haider Ackermann Fall/Winter 2014-15 languid atmosphere. Wandering through a mirrored room, they were like lost, fierce of their own proper beauty and extravagance. Haider Ackermann’s signatures were highly present: opulence of fabrics and exaggerations of proportions and layering, all creating a mellow but extreme silhouette. The elegance tax was high, but the extravagance was limited for something more sober, intimate and interior. We can’t say that was a dandy manifesto, but more probably a way to show us his own dandyism as a state of mind, a discreet attitude, not just a trend or a crush.
