What was your first fashion memory, and how fashion entered your life?
Growing up in Milano exposed me to the fashion world and aestethic since a very early age.
Milano, Italy and its craftsmanship has always been of great influence in the fashion world, setting trends globally and establishing itself in the fashion panorama as one of the industry key places.
Being Italian and from Milano definitely made a mark on me, on my upbringing and overall look on fashion.
But if I have to travel back in time with the memory, what I could recall as my first fashion memory would maybe be the time I had to choose the outfit for my first day at kindergarden. I remember being very excited about it, and all into the all getting ready and proudly show-off my outfit during that first day.
Could I please ask you to define your aesthetic vision?
” … A timeless blend of cultures and traditions, world cities and far remote tropical places, an imaginary world, a place of magic and wonder … ”
Where do you catch your inspiration from? And in particular what’s the main inspiration behind this Fall/Winter 2013-14 collection?
I see inspiration everywhere basically, even though I am more drawn into ancient Arts and Cultures from around the world as well as contemporary cities and urban cultures.
Inspiration for AW14 comes from the animal world.
Most of the prints in this collection are inspired by the Serpent Snake, being one of the oldest and most widespread mythological symbols in all ancient cultures and traditions of our planet.
Do you have any muse, a kind of woman/man you take inspiration from and whom you design for?
I take inspiration from Wizards and spiritual masters.
It appeals to all fashion lovers, who want to stand out from the crowd, express their individuality and envision a new world, believing in One Consciousness encompassing the existence of diverse beliefs and traditions.
How much your life and mainly your work is influenced by our by now 2.0 reality?
Totally, we’re son of our time. Fashion, like art and architecture is on web, as well as inside cities and magazines / books.
2.0 Reality has definitely influenced my work, opening up knowledge and communication to an infinite level. It has an inner power to reach out to lots of people, spread messages and get together.
